Chemical Composition of our C.I. Shell
Carbon: 3.2 – 3.6%
Maganese: 2.2 – 3.2%
Silicon: 1.2 – 2.2%
Phosphorus: 0.5% Max.
Sulphur: 0.15% Max.
Chromium: 1% only for lotus roller
Hardness: 180 – 220 BHN Coarx Grain Crystal Structure
Above Composition is as per specifications id IS 11201 – 1985.
Through various trusts following results were calculated as per under mentioned properties .

Yield Point 25 - 30 Kg/mm. Sq.
Elongation 2-4%
Transverse Raptore Stress 70 - 95 Kg/mm. Sq.
Compressive Stress 75 - 90 Kg/mm. Sq.
Elastic Module Thousand of Kg/mm Sq. 17.6 Kg/mm. Sq.
Brinell Hardness Number (BHN) 180 - 230 BHN
Apart from above, Our Material has the following properties.
1. It gives 2.5 times more strong Compared to the similar form in flake graphite.
2. It gives good machining qualities and has fine finishing.
3. It have excellent weld ability
4. It has good wear resistance quality.
5. It has good corrosion resistance.
Advantages when used for Sugar Mill Rollers:
It has higher strength and higher hardness give more life because of reduced wear.
It has less breakage because of higher strengths and elongation quality (elongation is kept at lower side at just safe level to avoid ill effect of high elongation.)
Material with 3 fold strength minimizes the teeth breakage in Messchaert grooves which is very vulnerable.
